Big Find in the Big Brook

NJ State Museum talk at the Vineyard! Join Anthony Gardner and Jason Schien from the NJ State Museum as they discuss the recent exciting fossil finds in the Big Brook this Saturday, May 10th, around 2pm at the Vineyard. 4JG’s Vineyard borders one of the most famous fossil localities in the Eastern United States dates from the Late Cretaceous Period, the Big Brook. Most recently a fossil bone of an extinct turtle species scientifically known as Atlantochelys mortoni was found in the Big Brook. The prehistoric creature was about 3 m (10 feet) from tip to tail, making it one of the largest sea turtles ever known and lived about 75 million years ago!  Big Brook wine, like its name sake stream is full of surprises!

Don't forget about Mom...
On Sunday, May 11th, the Vineyard will celebrate Mom’s with a wine and chocolate pairing.  Sherri of Chocolate Legends will pair her sinfully delicious treats with 4JG’s award-winning wines from 12pm-5pm.  If Mother Nature cooperates, we will be walking taking tours through the vineyard to talk about the upcoming wine growing season.
